Serves 477,061 customers, $1,644,711.00 of sales and provides 20,320 GWhs of electricity per year. 424,701 are residential.
Entergy is a full service/vertically integrated energy provider serving Southeast Texas, including all or parts of Brazos, Burleson, Chambers, Falls, Galveston, Grimes, Hardin, Harris, Houston, Jasper, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Limestone, Madison, Milam, Montgomery, Newton, Orange, Polk, Robertson, San Jacinto, Trinity, Tyler, Walker, Waller, and Washington Counties.
Despite their large customer base, Entergy's low scores are result of it not embracing investments in clean energy, solar rebates, or long-term commitments to solar or wind power. Recently, they did adopt an overall goal to reduce their carbon intensity by 50% by 2030, largely through expanding renewable energy. At least two of those projects are planned to be located in Texas, but not expected until 2023. They have also adopted a limited rebate for electric vehicle charging station.
Because it's a vertically integrated (full service) investor owned utility, the energy side if its business was also scored (+0 to +30). Entergy's additional score is +1

Additional Scoring for Vertically integrated (full service) IOUs (+0 to +30)
If the Investor Owned Utility is vertically integrated, meaning it both sells electricity and delivers it to the customers/households (mostly outside the ERCOT competitive region), than it is also scored on the following questions. These vertical IOUs include El Paso Electric Power Company, Entergy, Southwestern Public Service Company (Xcel) and Southwestern Electric Power Company (SWEPCO). They could score an additional 30 points. This additional score (+0 to +30) can be scene at the end of the general description of the company.

Entergy has set corporate goals to reduce its carbon intensity by 50% by 2030, and has set a goal to be a net-zero carbon utility by 2050. They have also committed to build 200 MWs of solar in Texas by 2023, and a total of at least 500 MWs by 2025. They have identified two sites in Texas - in Liberty and Polk Counties -- for their first two solar projects. The project in Polk County should be operational in 2023. Despite the carbon goals, there does not seem to be a specific renewable goal.
