Serves 112,682 customers, $239,790.30 of sales and provides 2,445 GWhs of electricity per year. 96,917 are residentialthat on average consume 1,190 kWh of electricity per month per household.
Bluebonnet Electric provides service in most of Bastrop, Caldwell, Lee, Burelson, Washington Counties and small parts of Travis, Hayes, Guadalupe, Gonzales, Fayette and Austin Counties. Serving nearly 100,000 meters, Bluebonnet has been a leader on providing information and real-time access to customers to help them save energy and does provide energy audits. However, they have not offered actual rebates for energy efficiency, or solar programs like community solar or rebates for onsite solar. While they do offer a 100% renewable option, they have not invested directly in solar or wind resources, other than through a wholesale contract with the Lower Rio Colorado Authority, which has a limited amount of renewable contracts.
